Hygienist Teeth Cleaning:

Hygienist treatment is a vital part of teeth and gum health. Poor gum health can lead to gum disease, which has been linked to heart disease and other chronic illness, not to mention bad breath. The first sign of poor gum health is if your gums bleed when you brush or floss, which is known as gingivitis.

A scale removes any tartar (calculus) and plaque from around your teeth and polishing removes any stains that sit on your tooth surface.

A scale and clean with the hygienist starts at $149 (30mins),  $175 (45mins) for a review of patient who gets regular and frequent cleans. $195 (60mins) for new patients and those who require longer review appointments. Additional or longer appointments may be required.

Refill material start at $85.

Extractions/Wisdom Teeth Removal:

Tooth extraction is often required when a tooth is in such bad condition that repair is not possible, this is often accompanied by pain and infection.

We offer a full range of oral surgery from simple tooth extraction to wisdom teeth removal. Modern day local anesthetics make removing a tooth completely painless.  If the thought of removing a tooth still makes you anxious then we have various sedation options available.

Starting at $295 for basic extractions, however discounts usually apply for multiple extractions (eg prior to dentures).

Root Canal Treatment:

A root canal is required when the nerve inside is infected or dead and is often accompanied by a tooth ache. Root Canal treatment cleans the infected nerve out of the root space and is then sealed to prevent re infection.

The treatment usually requires two sessions and most people are out of pain after the first treatment.

Starting at $695 depending on complexity.

Crowns (Caps):

Dental Crowns or Caps are a common treatment used for rebuilding broken teeth or teeth that have been heavily filled and are at a high risk of breaking or cracking. A dental crown reinforces a weakened tooth by holding together the remaining tooth structure.

The cost of a crown depends on the location. Front teeth with high cosmetic demands cost $1650 and back teeth cost $1495.

A check up is required prior to placement of a crown to ensure there is a sufficient foundation. Two appointments are usually required.

Bridges:

A bridge is an option for replacing a missing tooth. It is a prosthetic tooth anchored off the teeth either side of a gap. Bridges can also be anchored off dental implants. Bridges are made off site in a lab and require 2 sessions.

There are 3 types of bridges;

1. Fixed Bridge: the most common and most successful. The teeth either side of the gap are crowned and fused together with a crown in the gap. This is a good option if the teeth either side of the gap require crowning. however if the teeth either side of the gap are untouched then it may be better to consider a dental implant. Starting at $3500.

2. Cantilever Bridge: this type of bridge only has one anchoring tooth. It works well in cases where the false tooth is not receiving lots of force i.e. the premolar region. Starting at $1950.

3. Maryland Bridge: only for front teeth with two wings of metal or ceramic that glue to the teeth either side of the gap. Starting at $1800.

Implants:

Implants are used for replacing a missing tooth and can also be used to stablilise dentures. Implants look, feel and function like a tooth. We will refer you to an oral surgeon to get the implant placed and then once the implant has healed we will see you (usually 8 weeks later) for a digital impression. Once the lab has made the implant crown we will fix it in place.

Starting at $2950 (implant crown only, oral surgery fees vary)

Veneers:

A dental veneer is a tooth coloured ceramic facing handmade to fit onto the front of a tooth to either change the color, fix a worn or chipped tooth, or mildly correct a rotated tooth. Ceramic is a material that mimics enamel. We can customize the color to get the exact shade required.
Veneers are indicated for discoloured, chipped, worn or for mild misalignments of teeth.

Starting at $1400 per tooth. Multiple teeth may receive a bulk discount.

Dentures:

Dentures are a cost-effective option if you have missing teeth and would like a replacement. They come in all shapes and sizes and are customised for each individual’s mouth. The two types available are Full Dentures or Partial Dentures. They can also be stabilised with the use of dental implants.

Full Dentures: As the name suggests full dentures replace all of your teeth. They use the remaining gum and tissues in the mouth to hold in place. At times this is not enough to keep the denture stable and implants are required to clip it in place. Overtime full dentures can loosen as the jaw shape changes. A procedure called a reline can be used to refit them.

Partial Dentures: Full dentures used to be the more common treatment however partial dentures are quickly overtaking them. They are supported in place by the remaining teeth. This gives them more grip and results in less movement than a full denture. A partial denture is only as good as the neighbouring natural teeth it is anchored by so it is important to keep the remaining teeth in good health
